Paolo De Poli
Padua, Italia 1905 – Padua, Italia 1966
Artist, craftsman, and entrepreneur from Padua. He began his studies at the Pietro Selvatico School of Art in Padua, where he learned the arts of drawing and carving. He then started working as a sculptor, showing skill in working with wood and metal, particularly copper. From the 1930s, he became known for his mastery of the enameling technique, expressed in a modern language. From the 1940s, he maintained a long-standing collaboration with Gio Ponti. In his works, Italian tradition merges with a modern sense of design, reflected in his exploration of production processes and continuous technical experiments in enameling and metal firing.
